There are probably more than a few of you out there that have daughters and sons about to leap into the - hopefully - happy waters of matrimony. And that leap these days can be, from everything I've read recently, a pretty expensive proposition!
So who other that Target and their premiere guest designer Issac Mizrahi would you expect to step up to the line with a budget conscious line of bridal wear for the bride, the groom AND the wedding party:
Issac Mizrahi Bridal for Target
The dresses appear to be lovely, if simple and the bridesmaids dresses are at least as good as the stuff you see in bridal salons -- and in many instances better! (Having been a bridesmaid twice, I speak from experience!).
There is even an offering of evening wear for the guys!
My biggest criticism on the whole attempt is that there's no love being shown to plus size brides - get with it Target!
Another quibble, you can only order online. Target, if you want to sell dresses to brides, at the very least have samples they can actually see and finger in the store!
Yeah, yeah, I see the eyes rolling. A wedding is the occasion of a lifetime, blah, blah, blah.
But for a bride without all the resources in the world or one that's already $50,000 dollars in debt from college, these dresses can offer a stylish way to tie the knot - and still afford cake afterwards! ; - )
