Any one who thought....

That the whole Liz Claiborne / Isaac M thing was just the Liz C corp buying a famous name to stick on their clothes...

Need to think again. Here is the new website...

Liz Claiborne New York

It's obvious that Isaac is not just in the house - he is running it! And notice something wonderful ladies?...The variety of women represented!

And the plus size line? Oh baby....

As you can see, we Plus Size ladies are not being "ghettoed" out - where there are great pieces designed for the Misses sizes and not so great ones for the plus sizes! Isaac has obviously designed a collection that will flatter across the size spectrum!

And do not despair, my petite sisters - on my previous post on the new Liz C. I received an anonymous post from someone who said they work at the company that states there will be a petite and plus size line as well! (Check out the comment's section on my post Liz Claiborne New York)

No the clothes aren't up for sale on the site quite yet...but go on over anyway and check out what is active! If you're anything like me, it will make your style heart glad!

Isaac, Isaac...I love you more and more!

(P.S. If you want to see more pics from the Plus Sized line, go on over to Facebook and join the Liz C. group - Liz Claiborne on Facebook )

In these tough financial times.....

The trusty designer "bridge" lines are becoming the go to alternative for the thrifty lady of style (Personally, they've been my go to for years!).

Over at The Budget Fashionista, the always fabulous Ms. Kathryn gives us a refresher primer on these budget friendly designer lines...

Garment Fit and Weight Fluctuations

Okay I admit....

I have a bit of a grudge against J. Crew because they don't sell plus size clothes (Their idea of a "special size"? - A size 16! Pleaseeee!!!! :-p )

But I have to say I'm lovin' how they are spotlighting the incomparable Lauren Hutton on their site...

Classics 101

Effortlessly Chic? Hell yah!

I love....

Sweaters! So I've been thrilled to see that the boyfriend cardigan is very much in right now! (Frankly it was never out in my closet!)

Over at Stiletto Jungle, their giving examples of some of the prettiest ones available this spring - and it won't break the bank to pick one up!...

Who was wowed by the outfit in this pic on The Sartorialist

On the Street....Pink & Grey, Paris

(As a reminder, here is my original post on this outfit - If ever there was a perfect outfit...)

This outfit as been discussed on many fashion blogs since it appeared - but Ms. Karen over at Of A Certain Age has been the first that I know of to use it as inspiration for an outfit of her own...

Soft Chic Copycat

I think she does a wonderful job of taking the look and translating it for herself! And I love the fact that she did it by just shopping her closet.

A great example of a couple of things:

1. How to use sites like The Sartorialist for style (not fashion!) inspiration.

2. That you've got a lot more style right in your current closet than you probably realize!

Congratulations Ms. Karen, on showing us how to take that closet to the next level!
