Pantone's Spring 08 Colors
Hummm I'll have to give them some thought -- I love a pale color as much as the next, but I'm not so sure about these. Sort of makes me feel like they lined up a bunch of fruity type drinks at the bar and picked their favorite flavors! :-/
It does look like gray is going to hold on from winter to spring! ;-)

If this is true...
Then I am a made woman! ; - )
Pantone's Color of the Year Is...
Blue is my color!!!! I have loved it pretty much since birth and, for what ever reason, I look striking in it and always have...so if this is THE color for next season, I'm going to have a very happy closet! ; - )
That is if they make anything in this fabulous color that I can wear! : - /

If you have ever wondered....
How they come up with the colors for clothes or anything thing else for that matter, Ms. Tamara over at Business Fashionable points you to a good article on the folks who predict the next color trends....
Color Theory - How Trends Are Made
A couple of years ago Sunday Morning on CBS did a great cover piece on the process color marketers use to pick the upcoming color trends. Sadly I couldn't find the piece on their website. If they ever re-run it and you have an interest in just how the process is done, try to catch it - it was very interesting and informative.

Over at the Sartorialist....
Perfect example of how the simplest outfit can be kicked up a notch with a punch of color
On the Bike...Blue Shoes & Black Dressing, Berlin
Just that bit of blue makes the whole outfit interesting!
Important tip to remember, as you may, like I have, started gravitating to a sutler color palette as you've gotten older. A touch of color in the shoes or the purse could be just the thing the old gray mare of an outfit can use to give it life! ; - )

Wondering what the "hot" colors will be for Fall '08?
If so, skip over to Coutorture and check out the Fall '08 color report from Pantone:
PANTONE'S COLOR REPORT
For anyone who may not know, Pantone is THE color design company, not only for fashion but for design of all kinds (print, products, paint, etc). The blue of Tiffany's bags and boxes? - a trademarked Pantone color. (For more on that, check out the entry on Tiffany Blue on Wikipedia at the following link: Tiffany Blue. For more on Pantone skip over to their very colorful site at Pantone.com)
My favorites of the lot? “Stargazer” and “Carafe” (through I must admit, blue is my favorite color already, so Stargazer is not a reach for me!).
So take a look at what colors clothes will be coming in this Fall. Even it you hate them all, at least you'll have a chance to think about how, if any, of these colors could work with your wardrobe -- if you just have to buy something this Fall!
